Using platens our die cutting service gives the option to add a cut shape to your print. Die cutting is used to cut out items such as folders, packaging and literature such as direct mailers that have a shape to their design, creases and folds. This can be an intricate shape or simple curved corners on a flyer or business cards. Items such as folders can either be delivered to you flat or hand folded to finish.
The good news is that once a cutting form has been created, this can be used multiple times at no extra charge, so if you are thinking or reprinting literature or packaging in the future your die cut form will be ready and waiting.

Lamination
Lamination is often used to protect or enhance the final look of your print item.
As well as the standard matt and gloss finishes, we also offer a gorgeous peach/velvet effect laminate that gives your print a soft touch luxury feel. This laminate is a great way to finish high value print items that are going to be handled on a regular basis.
For print items that include solid colours, laminate is recommend to achieve a better quality print finish and avoided the paper cracking on the spine, especially for perfect bound booklets.
Embossing and debossing
Embossed or Debossed?
This is the processes of creating either raised or recessed relief images and designs in paper and other materials. An embossed pattern is raised against the background, while a debossed pattern is sunken into the surface of the material. With debossing the indentation can then be filled with ink. Ideally to get the best results, embossing and debossing needs to be applied to thicker paper stocks or card and gives your print items a feeling of quality and value.Embossing your print with foils
To create a greater feeling of luxury, embossing and debossing can be used with block foils or if printing on the HP Indigo printer with special inks such as metallic and fluorescent inks.
