Renovating Shop Signs in Chester
Johnsons were recently asked to update two shop signs in Chester. The latest renovation at Mullen Opticians situated opposite Chester Cathedral on St Werburgh Street, included new branding set within the traditional Chester building facia.
Renovating Old Shop Signage
The old shop signs needed an update and although the main facia frame was still in good condition, it required a bit of TLC to ensure it matched the clean new branding adopted by Mullen Opticians. And so to match the traditional black and white front facia, we prepared the stained aluminium frame to take black paint. The result took the frame away from the eye to give a sleeker set of signage panels.
The old signage used white Acrylic panels which had moved and become separated over the years. This was replaced by powder coated aluminium. Together with the fresher fonts used in Mullens branding and a splash of colour, the new updated shop sign looks modern without spoiling the traditional Chester signage aesthetic.
Shop Sign Chester – Planning
