Ensuring A High Quality Printed Brochure
We were asked to produce the printed brochure for the ARK Sculpture Exhibition at Chester Cathedral. It was quite an undertaking, as the brochure included over 120 images of sculptures, as well as information about each artist. So how did we ensure a colour match and high quality reproduction for each artist?
The first stage was in pre-press. Our pre-press team worked hard to pre-flight each image with hard-copy proofing to ensure each image represented each piece as accurately as possible. Producing hard copy proofs for each page enabled us to amend where necessary and ensured accuracy throughout the brochure.
We focus our production on quality and to do this we rely on the experience of our staff and our commitment to invest in the latest technology. Our pre-press workflow enables a true colour match and reproduction and gives an excellent end result.
Finishing the Brochure
The brochure was printed to create a keepsake of the exhibition and needed to be a premium product for re-sale. It was produced on our Heidelberg litho press and was finished with a matt laminated front and back cover and perfect bound. The end result was a stunning brochure packed with content and fantastic images of the sculptures.
The exhibition featured 90 works of art by over 50 sculptors which included Elisabeth Frink, Damien Hirst and Barbara Hepworth amongst a long list of celebrated sculptors. We were delighted to be able to be a part of this project.
