Portacabin Wrap – Countess of Chester Hospital

Johnsons were delighted to be commissioned by the Countess of Chester Hospital to print and install graphics for a portacabin.
Using external grade vinyl and printed on the AGFA Anapurna press, this portacabin wrap project was completed within one day and produced stunning results. The vector graphics and indeed the whole design concept supplied to us, was a pleasure to work with. Giving this particular portakabin a big lift and a presence on the COCH campus.
Applying a portacabin wrap can produce excellent results and can turn a usually grey exterior into something a little more inviting. The vinyl used was coated with a laminate to give extra durability and will be a permanent feature at the hospital. The flat panels enabled us to produce an excellent graphic display and also a graphic which has excellent adhesion qualities on the exterior surface.

How to create your Portacabin wrap graphics
We can usually give an estimated cost to produce and fit your portacabin graphics from a few measurements and images. However, we would usually visit the site of the portacabin to check that all surfaces are suitable for a durable vinyl wrap. Some portacabin surfaces have a textured surface which could indicate that the vinyl would not have a durable adhesion, so other substrates can be discussed. Here we would also measure up and take stock of the site to create a risk assessment and method statement for the installation. At this stage our installation team are able to advise and answer any questions on the project.

Signage Installation in Soho, using vinyl graphics

When Goldsmith Vintage Clothing wanted to make a splash at their shop front on Charing Cross Road in Soho, we were delighted to help.
This wasn't a typical sign installation given the size of the graphics. So a jigsaw of sections were created to break it down into more manageable vinyl graphics. Our graphics were applied by our fitter within a few days and were produced by plotting window graphics and external wall graphics from a conformable vinyl. This allowed us to cover the shop front entirely in sections to give the effect of a full makeover.

The design we were presented with at the outset of this project offered a few challenges. Not least as this busy shop is situated in a busy area of Charing Cross Road. But also because the surfaces weren't entirely flat and we had to find a way of presenting the giant G logo's across the entire shop fronts.
The resulting look of the shop is a stunning and eye catching head turner, which certainly gives the shop an even bigger presence on Charing Cross Road.

Goldsmith have three vintage clothing shops across London, Neal Street in the West End, Portobello Road in Notting Hill and this one in Soho. Each one selling a great mix of vintage clothes and we were delighted to help market the shop on Charing Cross Road aided by their wonderfully friendly staff. We look forward to our next challenge! Kindertons Use Core Values to Enhance Office Space

We worked alongside Kindertons designers to create stunning bespoke wallcoverings across various walls within their offices. Many of the walls included panelling, windows and even a projector screen, so we wrked closely with the designers to ensure the end result worked beautifully.
Accurate Brand Colour Matching
We use the most up to date pre-press technology to ensure colour matching. Our processes can match colours accurately using our 6 colour flatbed and roll to roll wide format printing presses by AGFA.
Our experience in producing successful office branding projects is essential. And Kindertons took advantage of our free site survey to discuss ideas and achieve a successful office branding project.
Projector Screen Included with the Wallpaper

In the training room, the best wall to include the core values was the same wall the projector was used. Here we included a space within the substrate to project images. This needed to be an exact position, so measuring up beforehand was crucial.

Some of the simpler walls included graphics on stairways and in corridors. Here it was important that the wall design wrapped around the corner to ensure longevity.

Protective Covering on all Office Wallpapers
All our wall coverings are laminated with a protective film which gives the wallpaper a durability that domestic wallpaper does not have. This keeps the wall graphic fresh and protects from the usual bumps and scrapes a busy office will have. The coating can also be cleaned down with water and mild detergents without affecting the graphic.
Creating One Way Vision Windows with Contra Vision

How Does Contra Vision Work?

So There Are Different Kinds of Contra Vision?
There isn't one kind suits all. A 30% may be more effective than a 50% in some circumstances where the graphic is of most importance. Though there are films that give solutions to different problems.
For instance, this project for a major pharmaceutical company was produced using clear Contra Vision. And whilst production time is increased, cost of installation was dramatically reduced.

Help and Advice from Johnsons Printers

Wooden Totem/Monolith signs

Which Wood is Used on the Monolith?
Our client requested an Oak finish on the signs. We were able to create a similar colour and grain to Oak, from Idigbo. This timber is very stable and is hard enough to take fixings extremely well. Although the Idigbo doesn't necessarily need to be treated, it does add to its durability and stability if a coating is added. Call us to discuss which treatment is best for your wooden signage.Double sided wooden monolith signs
Although the monolith signs were double sided, we also crafted a single sided version of the signs which could be attached to railings. Because this was a single sided wooden sign, the fixtures were finished on the back to a high standard, and painted to match the railings.
