Wide format printing

We can also use our wide format press to print onto plastic substrates.  This also gives us the ability to print onto larger substrates which may offer you alternative solutions.  With the capability of printing white ink, we can make sure your colours are opaque, or not, with the option of printing spot white as a base for the CMYK colours.

At Johnsons, we want your print to be as good as possible and accurate colour printing is paramount to us.  We aim for the best and most accurate colours, consistency and an overall quality feel. To achieve this, we have invested in the latest technology, processes and also in our staff. Our plates are made on a ‘green’ chemistry free laser plate maker, with hi-resolution stochastic screening (random dot placement as opposed to traditional rosettes).   In addition, our proofs are scanned for colour accuracy (spectrophotometry) and comply to the Internationally recognised Fogra39 standard. In addition, we aim to print to an accuracy standard three times more critical than the usually accepted ISO12647. White Ink Printing

Printing white ink means you can add an extra dimension to your print work. It gives you the ability to work with colours and paper stock types you may not have previously worked with.  But there is much more you can do with white ink:

Colour Matching & Photographic Quality

We have invested in one of the first AGFA Anapurna wide format printers with start-to-finish workflow in the UK. Thus giving us the ability to print, cut and finish to the highest standard in a single, efficient process. We are able to produce large format images of photographic quality on a commercial scale and which are superior to those from most other printers currently available. This means that we are able to exactly match your brand colour, something that was not achievable on a commercial basis until recently.
